Wilheimina has always been an advocate for children and founded in 1999 the non-profit Youth Matter Inc/YMCDC, a multi-service non-profit organization that has even reached across many states in the TROOPS TO YOUTH™ Initiative, as well as servicing youth and families in her own local communities. Creating the Ray the Buffalo & Friends children’s book series, and the Jellybeans Children's Books (JCB) Biography Books series for children are a special passion. Creating what has become the Ray the Buffalo & Friends' book series, is so very dear to her heart, as her desire is to motivate and encourage children to be their best and to always strive to excel. She also excels at providing creative services and consulting services to small and large businesses, as well as local, state and federal agencies. Wilheimina has over 27 years of experience in business management and design services. She personally produced the layout and design of all books in the two series. Wilheimina continues to work toward her entrepreneur goals with her creative services agency BRITLON www.britlon.com. While studying at the University of Mary Washington she met Ron Miller, the illustrator of Ray the Buffalo books, where she was a college intern under his direction at his Black Cat Studio. Now many years later, they team as author and illustrator in the development of her children’s books.
