Wilheimina has always been an advocate for children and founded in 1999 the non-profit Youth Matter Inc/YMCDC, a multi-service non-profit organization that has even reached across many states in the TROOPS TO YOUTH™ Initiative, as well as servicing youth and families in her own local communities. Creating the Ray the Buffalo & Friends children’s book series, and the Jellybeans Children's Books (JCB) Biography Books series for children are a special passion. Wilheimina has over 27 years of experience in business management and design services. She personally produced the layout and design of all books in the two series. Wilheimina continues to work toward her entrepreneur goals with her creative services agency BRITLON While studying at the University of Mary Washington she met Ron Miller, the illustrator of Ray the Buffalo books, where she was a college intern under his direction at his Black Cat Studio.
